Everest Base Camp Trek – Conquering the Himalayas
Reaching Everest Base Camp is a bucket‑list achievement for many adventurers. The round‑trip hike from Lukla covers approximately 130 km and typically takes 12–14 days , including rest days for acclimatisation. Starting with a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the route ascends through Sherpa villages such as Namche Bazaar, crosses swaying suspension bridges and passes chortens and mani stones (prayer walls). The altitude rises progressively until Base Camp at 5,364 m (17,598 ft) . Between days you’ll acclimatise at tea houses and hike to viewpoints like Kala Patthar for sunrise panoramas of Everest and Lhotse.
Kraze Travel’s expedition team focuses on safety, acclimatisation and cultural immersion. Local Sherpa guides share insights into Buddhist traditions and mountaineering history. We help travellers prepare physically and mentally, recommending cardio training and layering techniques for cold temperatures.
Why go? To stand at the base of the world’s highest mountain, experience Sherpa hospitality and test your endurance in the majesty of the Khumbu region. The journey itself is as rewarding as the destination.
