Day 8:  Farewell to a great couples holiday in Santorini & Mykonos

After breakfast, check out and then wait for your hotel transfer. Once at the airport you will be able to check-in and wait for your final call for your inbound flight back to Malta.

The above itinerary would be ideal during May to early July.  It is recommended for those couples looking for a close by getaway. We suggest that when planning flights you look into one airline and one through ticket rather than 2 separate tickets, as otherwise the airline will be responsible for any mis connections.

Another possibility to get to Santorini would be via a Ferry from Piraeus Port in Athens to Santorini.  This trip will take about 5 hours, and you would need to overnight in Athens for one night as normally the ferry schedule are in the morning.  Same thing would also be possible for the inbound journey back to Malta. You can catch a ferry from Mykonos to Athens, overnight in Athens and then catch flight the following day.  This will be however more hectic.
